RAFAEL CORONEL

Rafael Coronel (born 24 October 1931 in Zacatecas, Zac.) is a painter from Mexico. He was the son-in-law of Diego Rivera. His representational paintings have a melancholic sobriety, and include faces from the past great masters, often floating in a diffuse haze.

  2. I think the painting called the "song of songs" painted by Pedro Coronel is the best one in this blog! It shows a lot of beautiful colors and the orange color really got my eye! The painting looks a little confusing but I like it! I have an opinion; I think the paintings are great but they need a little more description like, what is the actor expressing in his paintings? Or what type of painting s they are? Besides that everything is all right! Good job!

  6. What is this? Is my favorite painting! Is so strange but at the same time is very interesting. Also, I realized that Rafael Coronel used just a few colors, but it looks good anyway

  7. I think Rafael Coronel is kinda crazy men, all is art works are so surrealistic! It's a very creative person.
    The paint called "What is it" it's my favourite, I don't know why actually, but have something that got my eye at the first second I saw it.

  12. Colonel Pedro's paintings I do not like because they make me feel very simple and should have more, the only one I like is still life. The paintings of his brother are most beautiful and very surrealistic.
    Always has to be a better brother than another jajaja

  18. Previously I had seen some pictures, but did not know it was a Mexican painter, WHAT IS IT? It is a great painting, depicts a man with two different faces and melancholy disclosed. I learned something new with this blog, it's an interesting job. Greetings!
